Waterford GAA celebrate Cognizant Jersey Launch
Last Wednesday, 25th January, Waterford GAA Hurlers and Footballers, along with their Team managers (Davy Fitzgerald & Ephie Fitzgerald), County Board Chairman (Sean M O’Regan), Vice Chairman (Neil Moore) and Secretary (Pat Flynn) were present at the launch of the Cognizant Waterford GAA Jersey. Commencing on the 29th January Waterford GAA will be wearing the Cognizant branded jerseys. Apparel will be in retail stores next month.
Two of the Cognizant Associates, Eoghan Moloney and Stephen Curtin were also present to meet with the team, along with other Ireland-based Cognizant associates.
Speaking on the continued partnership with Waterford GAA, Jim Lehane, Head of Life Science Manufacturing at Cognizant states, “There is huge parallel between business and sports. Cognizant and Waterford GAA are both driven by passion and people. Similarly, culture and values are important to both as we align our values of teamwork and progress. Our logo appears on the back of the jersey because we want to reinforce to all that Cognizant has your back!”
Representing Waterford GAA, County Board Chairman Sean M O’ Regan remarked, “It really is so important to Waterford GAA that we have the support and partnership of Cognizant. It is wonderful to have a professional partnership such as this and we are delighted that Cognizant has our backs for 2023! Big thanks to Cognizant for their commitment to the community and investing in the future.”
Also commenting on the collaboration, Davy Fitzgerald, Waterford GAA Senior Hurling Team Manager said “Be it in business or sport, I think you have to enjoy what you do. I like to think we get that mix right, where we can work hard but still enjoy each other’s company, push each other as hard as we can and learn from each other. The continued support we get from Cognizant is very important to us. We will be giving everything we can to educate our kids with the right values and purpose in life. I am confident about 2023 and I look forward to a great year ahead.”
Finally, Ephie Fitzgerald, Waterford GAA Senior Football Team Manager commented, “We are 100% committed to Waterford and we are all in this together. Your sponsorship is absolutely invaluable to us. When the players go on the field, it is a reflection of what I feel about life and football. Togetherness is much more important to us than results. And to inspire younger people to play football in Waterford is our commitment to instilling discipline in the youth.”
Cognizant wishes the Waterford GAA teams the very best and every success in the championship this year.
